As an avid reader of detective novels it was great running into Mr. Walker and learning of his book which I just finished. GunnyMac is a throw-back to the great PIs from Micky Spillane and Raymond Chandler and I am looking forward to Trouble In Cleveland. Mr. Walker has captured the feel of the 40's and 50's private eye. He keeps you anxious for the next page and you will find it hard to put the book down.

I was never in the service but always marveled at some of my friends that talk about the Marines like I talk about my fraternity brothers. “Once a Marine always a Marine” Well this book centers around that relationship and the support that happen as a result. Great read. Couldn’t put it done.

I enjoyed the Old School feel of the characters. Unapologetic men from an era when they needed to be. Great story, looking forward to the adventures in Cleveland!

This novel is more than just a WWII story – it’s a powerful exploration of friendship, healing, and second chances. The blend of humor and intense emotion makes it truly special. I felt every moment of their journey, and it left me reflecting on the resilience of veterans long after I finished. If you're looking for a book that makes you feel proud and uplifted, this is it!
